Terima kasih kepada Fadzrul, ini contoh mudah untuk mereka yang tak memahami idea di sebalik libertarianisme. Saya datangkan hujah kenapa Sosialisme gagal :)
A parable of sorts, possibly one of the most eloquent on the subject
An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. The class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said ok, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too; so they studied little. The second Test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings . No one would study for anyone else. All failed to their great surprise. The professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail in similar fashion for the simple fact that people strive to succeed when it leads to greater reward.

Salam amin. gua syak masih ada university yg mengamalkan sistem macam itu. member gua dekat RMIT dah kena. memang gampang weh..

dari asas pemahaman itu, insyaAllah perbincangan boleh dilanjutkan.
Jadinya negara sosial demokratik German ini adalah liberal separuh masak,begitu maksud saudara?
ReplyDeleteDan memang aneh, bila disebutkan sosialis terus disimpul-ikatkan dengan komunis,contoh kegagalannya terus dihalakan kepada cina dan jerman timur.
sebenarnya di kalangan libertarian, mereka hanya menyebut statis - iaitu pergantungan besar kepada kerajaan. tidak bermaksud saya menghubungkan itu sebagai satu entiti meskipun ada saling tindih prinsip pegangannya.
ReplyDeletedalam mana2 perbincangan pendokong pasaran bebas, sentiasa proses transisi itu termasuk dalam wilayah kelabu berdasarkan keunikan sumber dan kekuatan sebuah negara. sebab itu isu ekonomi tidak seperti mengalih satu barang dari satu tempat ke satu tempat yang lain. ada dinamikanya.
what do you mean by "gagal" exactly!!??? what about public health care, post office, public school and etc?? those are basically birth from the socialist idea.
ReplyDeleteand people do still vote for socialist candidate in the UK...Tony Benn for example; been a socialist and a Labor party for years and been barking for ages to the parliament for equality. I'm just saying, don't dismiss the idea entirely.
